Year 9 Values Books winning classes shouted lunch last Friday

Darin Smith —

Congratulations to 9SR and 9EA for Term 1.

Over the last two weeks, our Year 9 Liaison Classes have been competing amongst each other to gather the most points – to become one of the 'Top 2' Liaison Classes for Term 1.

For each lesson, staff rank the class with either a 1, 2 or 3 (points) for five different categories. A maximum of 15 points per lesson, for five periods a day.

The categories include:

Start of lesson:

  • Students are all lined up
  • Class is settled when entering
  • Books (including diaries) are out
  • Students are ready for the lesson to start

Team work:

  • Supportive of each other
  • Positive encouragement with others

Respectful interactions with each other during the lesson, class work/group work:

  • Positivity shown within the lesson
  • Encouraging others

Engagement in lesson:

  • Attitude
  • Behaviour
  • Effort
  • Focus

Manners and helpfulness, were they exhibited.

As a reward, the two winning classes had a lunch shout last Friday, 3rd March. It was very close right to the end.

We congratulate both:
