On Thursday afternoon, Nic received a phone call advising him that he is to join Max Beal at the National Shakespeare Sheilah Winn Youth Festival in Wellington in October.

Nic plays opposite Max in the scene from Richard III so it is entirely appropriate that the 2nd boy to be chosen from the group is Nic. He had a difficult role to play in the scene, and did so with real conviction and sincerity - traits that the judges obviously recognised. Congratulations Nic, this is well deserved.
