Student Trustee Elections

Cursey Adie-Cropley —

Are you interested in learning more about or becoming the next Student Trustee for King's High School?

Standing for election as the Student Trustee on your school Board might feel a bit daunting, but there's plenty of help and support available to you.

 Student Trustees:

  • learn about an integral part of the school
  • have a voice on how the school is governed for 12 months
  • participate in the Board meetings held once a month
  • prepare and give a verbal report to the Board each month
  • gain valuable knowledge and experience for your future.

All students enrolled full time in Year 9 and above are eligible to nominate, vote and stand as a candidate in the student elections. Both the students being nominated and the nominator must be a current full-time student in Year 9 or above. Students may nominate themselves.

Nominations open on Thursday, 1 September and completed nomination forms must be returned to the school office by noon on Wednesday, 7 September, no exceptions. They can be accompanied by a candidate statement and photograph. These can be emailed to cursey@kingshigh.school.nz

The voting roll is open for inspection at the school as of Tuesday, 30 August and can be viewed during school hours. There will also be a list of candidates' names for inspection, as they come to hand.

If you would like to know more, you are welcome to come to the office or make a time to meet with Mr McIvor.
