NZQA Scholarship Success
King’s is excited to announce another set of fantastic NZQA Scholarship results for the school and our students.
In the 2022 Scholarship exams, twenty individual students have attained a total of 41 Scholarships across fifteen different subject areas. Of the 41 Scholarships awarded, two are at Outstanding Level, going to Cam Fraser and Ben Hawke, both in Health and Physical Education.
King's Scholarship results are an improvement on the 34 Scholarships attained last year and is success that puts these students in the top 3% in New Zealand, and the school itself, in the top tier of South Island Secondary Schools and New Zealand Boys’ Schools.
Of the twenty Scholarship winners, three were Year 12 students, and one was a Year 11 student.

Information about Outstanding Scholar Awards
Value - $5,000 each year for three years (for the top 40–60 students) as long as they maintain at least a "B" grade average in tertiary studies
Criteria - A minimum of three Scholarships with two at “Outstanding” level, or at least five Scholarships with one at “Outstanding” level, or at least four Scholarships with one at “Outstanding” level and a top two performance in at least one subject.
Fifty-one of these awards were attained across the country for 2022.
