The Year 11 Geographers were spoken to by local St Clair resident Barbara Newton and Dunedin City Council Parks and Recreation planners Angus Robertson and David Natta, about the ongoing erosion issues at St Clair Beach.
This was part of their internal assessment on a contemporary New Zealand geographic issue. Both classes found that coastal erosion solutions are both complex and costly.
