Five former King's High School pupils honoured

Jo Barnsdale —

The 2022 King's High School Wall of Fame welcomed five inspirational leaders.

Ross Black - who set up the Otago Rescue Helicopter and with it the saving of many lives

Ken Graham - who performed NZ's first heart transplant and provided a message for students read by the Rector Nick McIvor

Brendon McCullum - NZ Black Caps legend and current England Cricket Team Coach. He provided a clip/message for the ceremony

Peter Montgomery - the respected Sport Journalist and face and voice of 40 years of NZ America's Cup Yachting

Anthony Simpson - New Zealand Ambassador to Italy who provided a clip/message for the ceremony.

Citations of each inductee were read and then there was an opportunity for each inductee to read or have read on behalf of an inspirational messages for the students. At the end the students performed a spine tingling haka.
