Rachel Campbell —

Norwood are excited to open applications for their 2022 Apprenticeship Program!

This position will provide you with training and experience to service and repair heavy vehicles such as tractors, balers, implements, excavators, lawn/turf care machinery and any other machines as directed to a high standard while completing your apprenticeship.

A Norwood apprenticeship provides you with up to four years of on-the-job training, equipping you with an NZQA approved New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering – Agricultural Equipment (Level 4) Qualification.

Due to the current ongoing shortage of skilled Diesel Mechanics in New Zealand and globally, upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will be a qualified tradesperson in an industry challenged by skill shortages.

  • Applicants ideally will have achieved a minimum of NCEA Level 2 and may have completed a Pre [1] Trade Course or have work experience in a related mechanical/trade field.
  • A full driver’s licence is preferred but you must hold a restricted class 1 licence, minimum.

If you have a particular interest in the agricultural industry and are committed to a successful apprenticeship with them, please apply online now!
