King’s international reputation has continued growing faster than Usain Bolt, with over 62 students from 10 countries scheduled to attend King’s in 2025, and numerous enquiries in the pipeline.
We’re seeing a big uptake from Germany and Argentina, closely followed by China, Thailand, Japan and Saudi Arabia. Most overseas students are coming to King’s for our prowess in sports, but our academic excellence and school’s overall character, coupled with great South Island location, are also gaining attention among the major international education agents and prospective parents.
The first batch of seven new international lads started settling in with an orientation day together before fully integrating into school life this week. They join the nine internationals students already calling King's home.
Also coming up, is a recee visit from five Chinese students (and two teachers), a group of 30 students (ranging from 14 – 17 years old) from Elmshorn, Germany, and three Argentinian students here for a rugby programme.
If you see any of the international lads around the school or at school events, please make them welcome.
