Our annual Interschool with Southland Boys' High School on Tuesday resulted in a draw.

Members of the School Council were thrilled to deliver the 2,200 or so cans that the King's community donated on Mufti Day.

Many of us brought one, two or even three cans along on Mufti Day last week. However, Declan Viljoen in 9Te brought 21 - a KHS record!

Noah Scott's ability to inspire his peers and raise money for World Vision was recognised last week. The amount raised was the most ever raised by KHS and lead to us receiving the Whanaungatanga Award from Jess McLennan, the World Vision representative.

The Learning Support Department were very fortunate this week to receive a set of nine C Pens.

Led by their Yr 9 students Aidan Blair, Ted Menzies and Sean Small, Hanover claimed the 2020 Swimming Sports near the end of Term 2. Massimo Pezzuto turned the tables on his Stuart counterpart Mitchell Wheeler to claim the Yr 10 title, while Yr 12 Sean Diggle (Tudor) displayed his prowess to win the Senior Championship.

A Year 9 Mathematics class learned about Linear Relationships this week, using Science equipment for measuring and observing Hooke's Law.

The Board of every school that has students Year 9 and above must include one Student Trustee. We will hold elections for this position in September 2020.
