Our annual Year 9 Scholarship assembly was held on Friday where we celebrated the students from Year 9 who excel in various academic, cultural and sporting pursuits.

On Tuesday our 1st XI Footballers qualified for a National Tournament to be held in Christchurch over Tournament Week in September.
During Term 2 each Year 9 class has visited the Planetarium at the Otago Museum to learn more about Astronomical Cycles. Mr Smith and his 9Sr Science Class enjoyed the experience and also the expertise provided, learning a lot about our Solar System.

A great time was had by all 10 athletes at the National Cross Country Championships in Taupo.
School Office
This year, the school council collected 2257 cans from a school population of around 1000 students, proving yet again, that the King's community is an extremely generous one. Thank you to everyone who donated and to members of the school council for their organisation.
It's that time of year again where boys who have received consistently high marks for their "weekly notes" join Mr Reddiex for morning tea. If we were paid for product placement, we'd be rich!
