Last Friday, four King’s students competed in the Ngā Manu Kōrero Speech Competition for the Otago/Southland Region, held at Taieri College.

Congratulations to the following Year 9 boys who are receiving a Scholarship this year.

As well as Rock Quest last weekend, King’s boys participated in the annual NZCT Chamber Music Contest. The contest is an iconic secondary school musical event held annually throughout the country.

On Friday the athletes travelled to Timaru to arrive in time to go around the course at Ashbury Park. We then travelled on to Temuka where we stayed at the Temuka Holiday Park.

On Tuesday this week, the School Council held a Mufti Day in order to collect cans for Presbyterian Support Otago's annual 'Octacan' Can Collection.

Jamie Honey (left) and Mason Putt were the first Year 12 pair to go live to air with their radio show "The DICTATORSHIP APPRENTICESHIP" on Tuesday.

Year 12 Outdoor Education headed to the beach for two separate tramps rather than risking being stranded in the mountains on an overnight tramp due to bad weather....looks like they made the most of it!

The results are not out yet, but there was certainly a lot of enthusiasm and fun on school Cross Country day this week.
