We continued our celebration of student success last Friday with a special Scholarship Assembly.

King's High School won their second Interschool against Shirley Boys' High School this week.

Thank you to staff, prefects and students for a great camp. Thanks also to family members who came out to visit their sons at The Hatherly last week. It was a great camp and we asked the students to write down some of their highlights below;

The Scholarship winners earned the right to sit on the stage and dangle their feet to share their journeys with the next generation of Scholarship candidates after last week's Scholarship assembly.

Apisalome Tudreu Year 11

We will be holding our first Whānau Hui of the year on Wednesday 18 March at 5.30pm in the King's Library. This will be an opportunity to meet with the Māori Dean, our new Te Reo Māori Teacher, and other whānau.

Being held on Friday 27th March from 5.00pm onwards in the PAC.

So far this year, thanks to the families and friends of our community, we have raised $1040 for this school. This is a great start, and just a reminder this is an ongoing programme.

The preventative measures the Ministry of Health is encouraging schools to practice are those of good hygiene.

The hui is on Monday March 9th, 5.30-8pm at Bathgate Park School Hall and will include a free shared meal. It is very important that young people and families are a part of this conversation, as we are focusing on feeling safe in our communities.

The Otago Peninsula Community Board would like students to be aware that they offer two Scholarships to the value of $300 to go towards participating in a leadership programme of their choice.

Unique Ōtepoti 2020 is an opportunity for young Dunedin creative performers to express their cultural identities across multi-platform media.
