This year the team travelled to Timaru to compete in the South Island Secondary Schools’ Athletics Championships.

King’s was very ably represented in the first round of this competition by Callum Steele-McIntosh (Year 13), and Joey Mackle, (Year 12).

10 boys and two support staff flew into Wellington on Sunday morning and drove up the Kapiti Coast to Palmerston North for the 50th National Secondary Schools' Championships.

Members of the Prefect and Christian group took to the kitchen this morning to split, cook and butter 600 Hot Cross buns to distribute to students and staff.

Zac Bell in Year 9 was the first student to accept Ms Harford's offer of free food - all he had to do was sing his order in the style of Musical Theatre for 45 seconds. His performance was exceptional and totally improvised. Impressive work, Zac.

The annual cricket match between the Rector's 1st XI and the school 1st XI took place in perfect conditions on Wednesday afternoon.
