On Tuesday the 29th of May, four King's High School students competed at the Otaru Annual Japanese Speech Competition. The results from all students were impressive and Callum Toomey took out the top prize in his section.

The King’s High School Rugby & Golf Tour to South Africa recently returned after spending 17 of the most amazing days in a country rich in culture and history.

It was a beautiful day for a run at the Otago/Southland Relays where we had seven teams competing, four in the Senior grade and three in the Junior grade. Each team of four members ran a total of 8kms.

Over the last two weekends Alex has won both the Green Island Competitions Society 16-under 18 Scholarship and the Cleveland Senior Scholarship (Yrs 11-13). Both came with useful prize money that will help pay for Alex's trip to Hong Kong and China with the New Zealand Secondary School Choir in July.

We have been advised by the PPTA that on Friday 8th June there will be a city-wide Paid Union Meeting (PUM) for all Secondary School teachers at 1.30pm which means that school will close at 12.55pm.
