King's E-Sports teams gain recognition

On 7th May 2022, six King's students, travelled to Invercargill to compete in the Southern Rocket Masters Open Competition. 

24 teams were present at the competition from intermediate and high schools around New Zealand to compete for a $5,000 prize pool. 

The grand final came down to a King's 1 vs King's 2 matchup, with King's 1, taking home the first prize of $1,000 and King's 2, the runner up prize of $800.

King's 2 Team - Alex McKean, Josh Leishman and Hunter Bowen

King's is pleased to celebrate E-Sports as a growing interest with many young men. Thank you to Mr Luke Smith who inspires many young men in their E-Sports.
