One of the cornerstones of our House programme, the weekly House Assembly, resumed this week with leaders zooming into classrooms.

We have two King's Lions nominated for Athlete of the Decade, Brendon McCullum and Ben Smith. Also, Dave Ross, Assistant Principal and 1st XI Hockey Coach is nominated for Otago Coach of the Year.

Congratulations to King’s Lion Max Holgate who has excelled in winning both the 2020 Otago Schools Orienteering Champs for Junior Boys (Year 9-10) and the 2020 Dunedin Orienteering Schools/Summer Series. Max puts an enormous amount of time and effort into his orienteering and it is fantastic to see him reap the rewards he deserves. Well done Max.

On this auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr, I would like to extend my warm wishes to our Muslim families. May you have a blessed and joyful eid with your family and friends.

During the Covid-19 pandemic a quarter of a billion people continued to starve in Africa and we have an opportunity to help.

Please be aware that the canteen will resume back to normal from Monday 25th May where all orders and payments will only occur at interval and lunchtime. There will be separate junior and senior queues which will be clearly identified for students in order to maintain social distancing.
