Our Cultural Blues Assembly adopted a different format this year where we combined the RAW! Performing and Visual Arts celebration with the awarding of Blues.

Both Jacob and Aaron were selected to represent NZ internationally this year. Jacob in Geography and Aaron in Biology. Unfortunately, due to COVID neither trip took place, however, they have a lifetime of achievement in front of them and we look forward to watching their careers flourish in the future.

After many false starts and date changes, we finally got there. Formal 2020 went ahead due to the enthusiasm and "can-do" attitude of our Formal Committee and with the support of around 150 students and their partners. Thank you to all involved!

At a special assembly last term, we inducted three more Old Boys' to the Wall of Fame. It is always a pleasure for our present students to hear stories from the inductees about their time at King's and their lives post high school.

As always, it was a privilege and a pleasure to assist the English Department with the adjudication of the Year 9 and Year 10 Public Speaking Competitions, this year.

Last weekend Chris MacDonald took part in the New Zealand School Mountain Bike Championship in Wellington, finishing a credible 8th in the Cross Country and 34th in the Enduro.

Offered biennially, the Unison Engineering Scholarship is open to New Zealand students who are intending to, or are currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in either Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.

NZQA has developed a section on their website with helpful information for students.
