Beckham Wheeler-Greenall won the Top Sportsman of King's Award for 2020, the Salter Trophy, for his outstanding performance in the NZ U19 World Cup Team.

Our annual Graduation Breakfast was held this morning at the Edgar Centre, where our leavers for 2020 were celebrated and thanked for their contribution to King's life.

We have witnessed the diving success of Dominic Fortes for several years now. However, his latest achievement was for his skills as a coach where he is gaining national recognition as a leader in this sport. He just keeps getting better!

The King’s High School 1st XI played in the McCullum Cup T20 Cricket Competition during Labour Weekend. King’s has never won the pre-season tournament named after Old Boys and Blackcaps Brendon and Nathan McCullum, but managed to share the title with Wakatipu High School this year after the second day of the competition was washed out.

Cameron (Year 9) had an amazing weekend racing at BMX Nationals held in Christchurch. Cameron’s results are NZ6 for both his 20” and Cruiser, an impressive effort and one that he should be very proud of. His is a name to watch in the future.

Four of our King’s boys were in the Otago U16 Boys team that competed at the Division 2, Nationals during the school holidays. The team won the Silver Medal. Isaac Jamieson, Isaac Robertson, Gabe Cook-Bonney, and Mitchell Wheeler.

Many students frequent Wests across the road from school and there is now the opportunity to work there in the summer holidays.

This year we are contributing to the ‘Stock the Bus Christmas Appeal’ where Presbyterian Support will bring a bus to school on Friday 20th November and collect gifts for children around Dunedin who might not otherwise receive a gift for Christmas.
