Rohan Wingham (Y13) and Steve Salelea (Y12) have been selected for the NZ U18 Barbarian Rugby squad. This squad comprises the best 50 players in the country who will play an inter house game against each other. Rohan and Steve follow in King's Old Boy, Giovanni Leituala's footsteps, who was also selected last year.

Congratulations to all of the boys who received a Winter Sports Blue at Thursday's assembly.

A huge Congratulations to Ezekiel Buschl and James Nicolson for being awarded the Kane Russell Trophy for 2020 Outstanding Secondary School Male Player(s) of the Year. These two boys are both incredibly talented players in their own right who share a long friendship and playing history together.

The big Division 1 final between King's Lions and John McGlashan 1st XI saw our regions finest young talent battle it out for the top placing. Congratulations to King's Lions with a 3–1 win.

Congratulations to Tudor who won the Haka Competition on Wednesday. Close second was Stuart with Hanover third and Windsor forth.

George Bates has placed first in the Level 3 Spanish National Speech Competition. He made an "incredible 4 minute speech in fluent Spanish about festivals."

This week we said farewell to Karen McGrath (Reprographics Assistant) after 16 years of dedicated service at King’s.

Year 13 Earth and Space Science students got a unique tour of the University of Otago campus this week. They learned about local rocks commonly used in the construction of some of Dunedin's most iconic buildings.

It was my privilege to be one of the 84 students participating in the "Entrepreneurs In Action" weekend in September 2020 held by the Young Enterprise Trust.

From the ukelele to the piano to the violin and trumpet. Our mini classical concert was a great success. The artists were; Hugh Askerud, Henry Cameron, Michael Galliven, Scott Butler Pollock and Marshall Klenner.

This week, three Media students headed in to Otago Access Radio as guests on "Truthteller", a show made by former investigative journalist and current University lecturer, journalist Stephen Davis.

Over the course of this term, our Year 11 PE classes have been using a sport education model to learn about inter-personal skills and how they have a positive effect on their teammates and those around them.
