On Wednesday 23 June, The Middle School celebrated their first combined Science and Technology Evening.

As an extension of the Year 9 Science Fair, this event was an opportunity for whānau to come and see what our students have been working on in the areas of Science, Hard Materials and Digital Technology. This included the opportunity to see projects using electronics, woodwork and robots in action, as well as some creative animal designs from Year 8 Science students.

An ongoing highlight was the display of around ninety Year 9 Science Fair projects. Each demonstrating the use of the scientific method in action. Our guest external judge said that our students were to be commended for their exemplary projects with over 50 students receiving awards during the evening for excellence, effort, creativity or class placings of 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

It was wonderful to see both students and families from across the school in attendance and we look forward to seeing how this event continues to grow in the future.
