A huge “shout out” to Irma Smuts, Marlene Goedhart, the Year 9 – 12 Hospitality students and the Year 13 Food Technology students for their outstanding work in catering for the staff farewell lunch held at the Senior Campus on Tuesday, 2 April 2019.

The students prepared 3 different savoury food pieces for the finger food lunch, catering for 90 people  - 3 pieces per person. As you can see in the photographs, the proof was in the tasting!

It has been KingsWay School's desire to create “real life opportunities” for the students, and this was the first of the opportunities.

Miss Lombaard popped into the Hospitality classes a few times on Tuesday to see how things were going. This is what she said, "What a joy it was to see the students thoroughly engaged, enjoying the preparation and buzz in the kitchen and also seeing the students keep to the requirements and timeframe of us (the client), with great guidance from Mrs Smuts and support from Mrs Goedhart. WELL DONE to all !!!"

We have allocated certain events for catering for the rest of 2019. Working alongside the Catering Team will be the Events Support Team who will work under Linda Clarke’s watchful eye.
