Junior Campus Notices - Week 3, Term 4

KingsWay School —

Please read the following parent notices for the Junior Campus.

Important Information for Parents of Primary Students Relocating to the Senior Campus

Please take note of the following important information as the students embark on this exciting adventure in Week 5 of this Term: CLICK HERE

General Information for all Primary

The Kauri Studio will be cordoned off while modifications to the internal of the building take place, and out of bounds areas clearly marked for those students remaining on the Junior Campus. Totara Studio students will still have access to the playgrounds and field.

Due to numbers of students in each Year level, and to support the teachers as they adapt to teaching in the modified spaces, the Y3/4 and Y5/6 teams will have both single level and composite classes in 2019. The make-up of the classes will be revisited each year, depending on student numbers.

We are delighted to welcome Hannah Irons onto the staff at the Junior Campus. Hannah is replacing Mrs Ng, who is expecting her little cherub any minute!

Mrs Kerry McNair and Mrs Jayne Charles are the teachers of our newest NE students. We are blessed to have such experienced teachers working with our littlest ones!

Please note details of the end of year Prize Giving Ceremonies to be held at the Junior Campus on Thursday, 13 December:

  • Year 1-2,  9:30am
  • Year 3-4, 11:00 am
  • Year 5-6,  1:15pm

Scheduled Teacher Only Day for Kauri Studio Only

Please CLICK HERE for the letter written to all parents of students who are taught in the Kauri Studio.

Year 0-2 Athletics Day - change of date

The Athletics Day will no longer be held at the Junior Campus in Week 4 of this term. This is due to the relocation of the Kauri Studio furniture also happening on that day. The day will now be combined with the Year 3-6 Athletics Day in Week 6 of this term, on Wednesday, 21 November at Metro Park Millwater.

More information as well as the permission form will be sent out via email, in due course. The children will be looking forward to sharing their learning in Athletics from PE this term.

Many thanks for your understanding.

Jordan Barley
Assistant Head of Primary

Kauri Studio is on the Move – Boxes Needed

In Week 5 of Term 4, the Kauri studio students are relocating to the Senior Campus. We need boxes to pack resources into for the move. Banana and Apple boxes are great as they have strong lids and don’t crush easily, or if you have moved recently and have standard sized boxes would also be appreciated.

Please stack your donated boxes on the left hand side of the hall. Your help is appreciated.

Year 5 and 6 Cricket Zone Day

If your child (boy or girl) is interested in playing for KingsWay in the upcoming HBC Cricket Zone Day, please register their interest by emailing Raelene.Beguely@kingsway.school.nz by Friday, 2 November.

Operation Christmas Child

Thank you to all families who picked up a Christmas Child Box last term. Please return filled boxes containing all items recommended in the flyer and your $9 shipping donation to the Junior Campus Reception. Boxes need to be handed in to the Junior Campus IMMEDIATELY please.
