I trust you had a relaxing break despite the inclement weather.
I encourage you to join us as we pray for our Year 11-13 students who are currently completing derived grade assessments this week. The management is finalising further arrangements to ensure the completion of all practical assessments, final curriculum work for external exams and completing the necessary pragmatics for the return to school of our Year 11-13s. I will update you by Thursday with greater detail. I also await greater clarity from the MoE regarding a possible return of Year 1-10 students in the future.
Meanwhile, please complete the FORM detailing your child’s vaccination status for our records.
Once your child has had two vaccinations, please send a copy of their completed immunisation card or certificate to KingsWay’s Lead Registered Nurse anita.wicks@kingsway.school.nz
Please note that you can decline this request, in which case your child is marked as unvaccinated. This data is only collected for aggregation purposes and to update our health records should there be a Covid outbreak at KingsWay. Specific personal information cannot and will not be shared with other agencies without your express permission in keeping with privacy laws.

Primary School Notices
Students being supervised on the Senior Campus must please bring a sunhat or cap to wear during the morning tea and lunch breaks. Please also ensure you send enough morning tea, lunch and beverages for your child for the whole day.

Middle School Notices
Congratulations to our students who were awarded as Distance Learning Legends in assembly this morning. These certificates are acknowledgments of four students in each class every week who try their best in distance learning. Students who had their names drawn in the pizza or Millies drink draw will be contacted shortly.
Year 9 Camp
We are very sorry to announce that we have come to the point where we are sure that we cannot proceed with the Year 9 Camp this term. We have waited as long as possible to see if we can make this happen but with the border restrictions and length of being locked down, we cannot proceed. Staff are keenly aware of the disappointment this is. Our desire is to provide an alternative way of celebrating their end of Middle School and graduation and we will do what we can within the limits at the time. More communication will follow regarding alternatives and information about refunds.
The Year 9 teachers will support the students and so will Mrs Lambert who will have an online discussion tomorrow morning.
Senior School Notices
We hope all things are going well for our Year 11 to 13 students in their online assessments this week. While we do understand that students may be finding it hard to keep motivated at this point in the year, we do encourage you to urge them to finish the year well, completing assessments to the best of their ability. Please contact directly with class teachers if there are any questions or problems around specific subject assessments. More information to follow on what school will look like for senior students returning next week.
Year 10’s continue to have timetabled online learning with their teachers, and we are thinking of them as they navigate their learning in this format. We want to commend these students for their perseverance during online learning, and we encourage our Year 10’s to continue to balance their time on and off screens.
