Week 1, Term 3
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whanau,
It has been a pleasure and a delight to see our students come back to school with such enthusiasm. We have a jam-packed term that includes a trip to Auckland Zoo, as well as swimming and ice-skating lessons.
Keep an eye-out for the form for the Zoo trip where you will need to provide us with some information and give your child permission to attend. We would also appreciate some parent helpers on the 15th of August to come alongside us and assist us with supporting our children in their learning, as well as being an extra set of eyes and hands with keeping them safe on our outing.
KingsWay's Got Talent
In Term 3 we will be running our annual Talent Contest. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their talent. In the past we've had singers, musicians, scientists, dancers, magicians and sports tricks. Auditions are about a minute long, run at the Junior Campus with the finalists performing at the Senior Campus.

- Auditions: Monday, 31 July, Thursday, 3 August, Friday, 4 August.
- Reserve Day: Tuesday, 8 August (if Auditions aren’t concluded).
- Finals on Senior Campus : Thursday, 24 August, Lunch Time
Headphones
A gentle reminder that all learners need their own set of earphones or headphones for their Sustained Silent Reading time.
Some headphones have been misplaced or may not be in good working order. Kindly check in with your child to see that their headphones are in working and replace any which are broken.
These are kept at school and stored in a designated cubby or in their tote trays. Please make sure that the headphones are clearly labelled with your child's name.
