Junior Campus Notices - Week 8, Term 4 (final Newsletter for 2019)

KingsWay School —

Please read the following parent notices for the Junior Campus.

A Note from Jenny Harvey

Dear Parents

As 2019 draws to end for us on the Junior Campus, I would like to testify to God’s unfailing faithfulness and love: This has been a very calm and settled year for us. The modifications to the Kauri Studio had such a positive and significant impact on the teaching and learning that took place and we look forward in expectation to the Totara Studio being ready and waiting for us at the start of 2020.

In a time when a teacher shortage crisis continued to rock the country, once again the LORD provided us with new staff who are experienced educators, passionate about Christian Education and so excited to be teaching at KingsWay. It is a joy to work alongside this team of godly men and woman.

Sadly, however, the end of a year typically sees staff leaving KingsWay School.

This year we farewell Mrs Cindi Meyer and Miss Emily Hall. They have been an asset to our team and will be sorely missed but we wish them God’s richest blessings as they leave here to serve Him elsewhere.

Mrs Cindy Van Ingen-Kal and Mrs Jennifer Peters are moving over to Middle School, so although they are no longer teaching on the Junior Campus, your children are bound to ‘bump’ into them in the coming years!

We are so grateful to Miss Anais Vergara and Mrs Maria Barnard who were with us for this year only. We have so enjoyed having them on staff and value their contributions tremendously.

Mrs Monica Coetzee, who has facilitated our Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP) for the last 5 years has been promoted to an in-house Movement Consultant with MovingSmart, and will now spend her days training PMP facilitators and teachers from other schools. We are very sad, indeed, to lose Monica, but so delighted that she is now in a position where she can influence others and improve learning opportunities for many 5 and 6 year old students around NZ.

Class placement letters will be emailed to parents on Monday, 16th December.

As this is my last message to you all for 2019, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for partnering with us and for your many contributions in support of the school. There were so many events and learning experiences that we could not have provided for your children if you had not been willing and able to get alongside and assist us.

May you know our LORD’S peace and joy as you celebrate His coming this Christmas, and may you have many, many hours of fun and laughter with your precious children these holidays!
