Week 6, Term 3
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,
Thank you for your support for our Yr7 Te Mārkete. The students are very excited to host this and raise money for the 2024 Philippines missions trip. Please reach out to your child's form teacher if you have any questions.
Please remind your children to take pride in their appearance by making sure their uniforms are worn correctly and are tidy.

- Wednesday, 6 September: Year 7-13 Winter Sports Photos
- Thursday, 7 September: Motat Trip - 7CVA, 7GDE, 7JPS
- Monday, 11 September: Yr7 Te Mārkete (Year 7 Market Day)
- Thursday, 21 September: Year 7 Roman Day
- Friday, 22 September: Last day of Term 3

Year 7 Motat Trip
- Tuesday, 5 September – 7DSC, 7MCL, 7NCA

Buses will leave school at 9:00 am to start at 10:00 at Motat, then return by 2:30 pm.
Wear: Full school uniform with a KingsWay School jumper or jacket.
Bring: Students and parent helpers bring own lunch and a drink. Students are not to buy any food from the café.
Parent Helpers: We need five parent helpers per class for this trip, please indicate on the trip permission form if you are able to assist.
On Purpose Day
- Monday, 9 October
We will be spending the day at One Big Adventure, Carey Park Christian Camp. There will be a range of activities for your students to enjoy.
Parent Helpers: We need a lot of parent helpers to make this trip successful.

Permission: We consider the permission form completed for the original planned February date, as permission granted for this trip. If you wish to withdraw your permission, please email your child's teacher.

Departure:
Meet 8:25 am at the bus bay at the rear entrance of KingsWay School – Longmore Lane, where Silverdale Primary School is. If you are going directly to Carey Park please be there by 9:25 am.
Return:
If collecting your child from Carey Park be there by 1:45 pm – if you are not on time your child will return to school on the bus by 3:10 pm.
Wear:
Old clothes that you can move in easily
Try to avoid jeans and crop tops that may limit movement.
Closed in shoes
Bring:
Morning tea
Lunch
Water bottle
Sunscreen
Hat
Swimming costume (water hole might be open)
Towel & plastic bag
Jacket (just in case - we live in Auckland!)
Optional change of clothes – there are some water based activities
Year 7 Homework
- Memory Verse - SOAP and recital
- Reading - questions about their novels on the homework slides
- Literacy as per teacher instructions
- Maths as per teacher instructions
*all homework is explained on the homework slides and these are posted on Google Classroom.
