Covid-19 Update, 19 March 2020

KingsWay School —

Tomorrow, Friday 20 March, school ends at 12.45pm for Senior Campus students. Primary students remain at school as usual until 3.05pm.

Dear KingsWay School Community,

I apologise for ‘spamming’ you daily, but the Covid-19 situation is dynamic, and fast-moving so requires regular updates.

A few essential updates from KingsWay:

  • A reminder that tomorrow, 20 March, school ends at 12.45 pm at the Senior Campus. All Middle and Senior School students are free to go home or wait in the library until the end of the regular school day. Primary students continue as usual.
  • Buses will run at the normal times tomorrow.
  • School life continues as per the usual schedule on Monday.
  • Assemblies and large get-togethers are postponed until further notice.
  • All adults and visitors to the school are encouraged to maintain social distancing practices. This practice includes before and after school.

Trial of Systems to Support a School Closure

The leadership hope to identify on Monday any glitches following the Friday trial. We welcome any feedback to improve our system. Please make the test a priority if you have a child in the Middle or Senior School.

I continue to ask you to avoid conjecture related to the spread of the virus, as this can lead to panic and is singularly unhelpful. I will provide regular and accurate feedback as and when it arrives.

Kind regards,

Graeme Budler
Executive Principal
