Middle School News and Notices

KingsWay School —

Dear Whanau of Middle School,

What a fabulous start to the year we are having. Our school is full of students and teachers who are eager and have hit the ground running. Our new air conditioning is so appreciated especially with this humid weather.

Thank you for ensuring your children are well prepared and are wearing the correct uniform. Concessions were made last year due to supply issues, however, we are back on track with high uniform expectations. This includes bringing their school hat, no make up and correct footwear. The reason being that it helps our young people show respect for their school and represent themselves well. We recommend that students come wearing sun block or have some in their bag.

We are looking forward to our postponed On Purpose Days next week and pray for less windy weather as we have large inflatable activities in store. Across the days our students will be encouraged to connect with God on purpose, connect with each other on purpose and to have fun!

Shortly you will receive our Middle School Newsletter for Term 1. It is full of all the details you need to know for this term. We include our learning foci as well as events. Please be sure to look for and complete the permission form links for offsite activities.

Thank you for your support.

Deputy Principal of Middle Years

Students are asked to select their top five preferences (indicating these in preference order) for Semester 1. Click on this link for the Middle School Wider Learning Semester 1 Option Booklet which includes details on costs and any special requirements for each course.

ACTION:

Please complete the online survey form by 6pm on Sunday, 13 February.

Year 9 HPV2 Catch Up Immunisations

Due to last year’s lockdown a number of our 2021 Year 8 students missed having their second HPV immunisation.

The WDHB immunisation team are offering an in-school catch up on Monday, 28 February for those that have not yet been to their GP for their immunisation.

This catch up will be additional to the normal Year 7/8 School-Based Immunisation Programme for 2022.
