Employment Opportunity - Director of Human Resource Operations
About the Job:
Reporting to the Executive Principal, you will be responsible to lead a HR Co-ordinator with delivering high-quality human resource advice, processes, practices, and services across the two campuses. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of HR operations, service delivery, business partnering, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the coordinator to ensure the delivery of appropriate HR advice and services
- Provide technical leadership in HR operational functions of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, leave, contract management, onboarding, performance management, and employment relations
- Develop, implement, and monitor good Service Level for HR operational functions
- Partner with Managers to ensure effective implementation of people-related policies and procedures
- Co-ordinate engagement feedback surveys and implementation of actions
- Organise and facilitate support staff initiatives - activities on staff only days, training for support staff managers etc.
- Organise a couple of key staff events in the year
- Support school HR strategic projects
The successful applicant will have:
- Relevant experience in an HR leadership role, including team mentoring
- Relevant qualification in Human Resources
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand employment laws and regulations
- Proven stakeholder engagement and strategic partnering skills
- Be willing to support our special character
- Experience or an interest in the education sector is preferred
