Year 8 Newsletter
Week 3, Term 2
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,
It was wonderful to see so many parents at the Cross Country on Monday. Thanks for your support. We were so fortunate with the weather. The students did so well to push through nerves and give it their best.
The trip coming up to Tree Adventures will be another opportunity for students to challenge themselves and their level. Overcoming difficulties and taking safe risks are useful ways to help our children build resilience and prepare them for life's ups and downs.

Students will travel by bus to the venue, leaving school at 9:00 am and returning to school by 3:00 pm. They will wear their PE gear, sports shoes and socks, and a jacket. We recommend a towel/change of clothes in case of wet weather as the event will go ahead even when there is slight rain.
Students and helpers will also need their own full lunch and a drink. There are no facilities for purchasing food or drink onsite. Each trip requires 2-3 helpers per class. If you volunteer, you will be sent an email to confirm your assistance is required. At this stage we still need more parent helpers for this trip to be able to go ahead especially on the Thursday.
