Full School Notices - Week 9, Term 2
PPTA Strike Update
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Thank you for your patience and support during the disruption that has occurred because of the ongoing industrial dispute between the Ministry of Education and the PPTA Union.
As noted earlier in the week, PPTA has withdrawn all industrial action. The paid union meeting will still go ahead on Wednesday 28 June. For details, please see below:
Paid Union Meeting – Wednesday 28 June
PPTA members will be attending a paid union meeting on Wednesday 28 June at 1.00pm. This means that the school will close for instruction for students of Year 10-13 at 12.00pm on Wednesday.
Year 10 – 13 students are not to remain at school after 12.00pm on this day. These students are encouraged to go directly home and continue with their learning there. For those students reliant on school buses, the library is open to receive a limited number of students who cannot secure alternative transport home that afternoon. Students in the library will be supervised but are expected to work independently and with purpose on learning activities.
All other year levels remain open, including Year 9 on Wednesday afternoon.
Bus services will operate at the normal time ensuring minimal disruption to all other year groups.
We pray that the Lord will continue to bring resolution to the industrial dispute between the Ministry of Education and the PPTA Union.
Chris Martin
Acting Executive Principal
