KingsWay School —

Week 2, Term 1

Kia ora koutou Whānau,

We have started off this term with much excitement and enthusiasm in getting to know each other and the teachers. The students engaged in fun team-building activities and collaborated to find hidden objects during our Back-to-School Scavenger Hunt activity.

The students also worked together in teams -  building sandcastles, passing the hula-hoop through from one friend to another without breaking the chain and playing 'the floor is lava'.

Additionally, we have also been exploring our learning space and enjoyed immersing ourselves in self-selected activities.

Our school value this term is “All People”. At KingsWay School, we value all people and respect others. Our Special Character Guidelines state, "inspired by the love of God, we value and treat ourselves and others with respect and consideration, recognising that we are all created in God’s image and are deeply loved by God”.

We are super excited to launch our Little Learners Love Literacy programme and look forward to seeing all students actively engaging in their learning this year and making remarkable progress.

More details of our Reading, Writing and Maths programme will be shared at our upcoming Parents Evening in early March.
