Dear KingsWay Community,

This letter is my last correspondence for the year, and I want to use it to thank everyone again for the fantastic support you have given to the leadership in 2022. It has been a roller coaster of a year, but we have navigated it well.

Some of you may have noticed our fantastic new electronic digital signboard at the Junior Campus. A past parent donated the finance for the signboard but wished to remain anonymous. I want to thank them for their generosity on behalf of the KingsWay community. If you want to find out information on advertising on the signboard, please contact us by emailing communications@kingsway.school.nz.

Sadly, I have to announce that we are temporarily closing our satellite Kumeu Christian School for next year. A falling roll and staff resignations have made next year unsustainable. We aim to review this decision later in 2022.

A few housekeeping items before I sign off for the year:

• The last day the office is open is the 15 December.
• Please refer to a letter sent last month (attached below as a pdf) which includes some critical dates for the start of the year. Some of these dates may have changed recently due to Covid restrictions, so please refer to the latest copy. I will send another copy in January with any further required updates.
• The subsequent correspondence you will receive is on the 25 January. I will update you on any amended Covid protocols and procedures and the status of trips in the first few weeks of the term.

Please update your child’s vaccination status asap if you have not done so already. Please complete this FORM. We require this information for planning purposes.

I wish you all a blessed Christmas and a wonderful new year. I look forward to welcoming students on site again in 2022, hopefully in the orange setting.
