Employment Opportunity for Health Centre Manager and Registered Nurse

KingsWay School is a Christian character, state-integrated school with 1600 students spread across two campuses. Commencing at the start of Term 4 2022, or by negotiation, we seek dedicated, friendly and professional nurses to join our school nurse team. Due to a promotion, we have a vacancy for a Health Centre Manager and a registered nurse. The Health Centre Manager will have overall responsibility for our team of wonderful, permanent, part-time and casual/on-call nurses. The Health Centre Manager should be an experienced registered nurse with the knowledge of managing and leading a Health Centre. This role can be either permanent full-time or part-time. The other vacancy is for a permanent, part-time registered nurse. Both roles function during the school day from 8:30am until 4:00pm, during school term time only. There is no school holiday work and job sharing is a possibility.

We are looking for registered nurses who:

  • Are Registered Nurses who hold a current practising certificate
  • Have the ability to work as part of the Health Centre team but also works well independently
  • Are proficient in English language with excellent in written and verbal communication skills
  • Are computer literate
  • Applicants for Health Centre Manager should demonstrate Leadership skills.

The right person will have the following key attributes and characteristics:

  • Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks
  • A self-starter who demonstrates initiative
  • An approachable, caring person who will work in partnership with parents, caregivers, and whanau
  • Is culturally aware and able to work cross-culturally.
