New Development and Modifications

KingsWay School —

Astro Cover

What a blessing it was to see the cover on the roof of the Astroturf. The excitement was tangible, and I believe that the project inspired another 100 engineers for the future.

We plan to resurface the Astro and connect the lighting in the first few weeks of next term, and then it will be open for use. I will announce the opening of the space at a later date. A similar but smaller cover at the Junior Campus is included in the KingsWay School 2030 Strategic Growth and Development Plan for the future.

Junior Secondary Space

The Junior Secondary space is mostly complete, with a few finishing touches such as signage planned for the next few months. The Junior Secondary staff are working excitedly, delivering a fantastic programme for these students despite the setbacks to the schedule caused by Covid-19.

New Junior Primary Studio

As per the KingsWay School 2030 Strategic Growth and Development Plan, a task force is working on designing a new Junior Studio at the Primary Campus. The purpose-built space will be located on the land adjacent to the field, opposite the KingsWay Preschool, and will accommodate 360 students in 2024. One of the aims is to limit the need for large intakes of students at different school levels. Most students will enter KingsWay as a 5-year-old cohort and leave as well-educated, Christian servant leaders in Year 13. I trust that if you want to secure a place for your child at KingsWay that you enrol them at the New Entrant level, as limited places will exist in the future at other levels. The Executive Principal leads the new Junior Studio School Task Force and will consult and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process.
