Junior Campus Notices - Week 1, Term 2

KingsWay School —

Please read the following important weekly notices for the Junior Campus.

Term 1 saw the Yr3/4’s stand in awe of God’s amazing creation as they studied volcanoes. In Genesis, the Word tells us that God looked at all that he had made and said IT IS VERY GOOD. Volcanoes are often mentioned for their destructive power, but we know God’s Word to be true. This helped the Yr3/4’s explore volcanoes from God’s perspective, seeing the rich part they play in our lives on this planet!

Our school value for Term 2 is “Personal Faith and Character.” We will be learning more about Maori culture, building our Biblical World View around a well known proverb “He waka eke noa” - a canoe which we are all in, without exception. Although we are all created uniquely - in personality, gifts and talents – we are called to stand as one body in unity in Christ (1 Cor 12). Our school has a rich diversity of cultures. My prayer for our Yr3/4’s is that this topic will grow their faith and character and allow them to celebrate our cultural differences, as we share Christ’s love.
