Year 5 Weekly Newsletter
Week 6, Term 1
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whanau,
This week the students have been looking at people who have emigrated to New Zealand and the struggles that were faced while trying to get to New Zealand. We will be looking at and exploring our own family histories and stories of how our families arrived in New Zealand in the coming weeks.
The students also thoroughly enjoyed getting active and having fun during the sports rotation that took place for the first time this week.
Class Representatives
A huge thank you to the wonderful parents who have volunteered to be our amazing class representatives - we are truly grateful for taking on this role to build community and help with reminders regarding the learners in Year 5.
The class representatives for each class are:

If you would like to be part of the class WhatsApp group, please WhatsApp the class representative for your child's class. Please give the class representative your name and your child’s name.
The teachers will be in contact with the class representatives and will liaise with them regularly. We hope that the joint partnership will help us grow stronger as a Year 5 community this year.
Netball
If your child would like to participate in netball please let your class teacher or Mrs. Rautenbach know so that we can include them in the netball team.
