Commencing at the start of the 2020 school year, we require a registered nurse with a current practising certificate to nurse in our Health Centre for 4 days per week, 2 days per week at the Junior Campus (Years 1 to 6) from 8:30am until 3:15pm and 2 days per week at the Senior Campus (Years 7 to 13) from 8:30am until 4:40pm.

A caring and qualified nurse who will be able to provide the following:

• a comprehensive holistic health assessment, co-ordinating appropriate follow-up
• first aid
• provide health services to all students within nursing scope of practice
• work in partnership with parents, caregivers and whanau, regarding their child’s health needs
• referral to health and social agencies for appropriate health and social interventions
• support the delivery of health services to students by other health professionals
• support students to take responsibility for their own health care and to promote the appropriate use of health services
