Year 4 Newsletter
Week 1, Term 1
Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,
Welcome to Year 4 and your child’s 2023 school year! What a very strange start to the year we have had! I pray you are all safe and looking forward to a long weekend and celebrating Waitangi Day.
We are delighted to welcome the following new children to our Year 4 cohort and KingsWay community; Caitlin Larkins, Micah Ng, Stevie Poole and Emil de Klerk. It is always such a blessing when the Lord adds to our numbers.

Correspondence:
Each week you will receive a school newsletter. It will make a huge difference to your child’s Year 4 experience if you are fully informed of upcoming events, as a result please could I request that you make a concerted effort to read the weekly newsletters and promptly action any requirements.
Spanish, Library and PE:
4NBU, 4TWR and 4LWN children will have Library, PE and Spanish every Thursday.
4MSA will have their lessons on Tuesdays.
It is a school requirement for the Year 4 learners to wear the KingsWay PE uniform. This may be purchased from the uniform shop.
Please ensure the PE uniform is clearly labeled with your child's name.
Tissues/Wet Wipes
To help reduce the number of germs in our classrooms, it would be greatly appreciated if you could send tissues and/or wet wipes to school for the children to use.
Home Learning Week 2:
The first week of Home Learning will be completed in class, this is to help set up expectations and allow the children time to adjust to new routines.
Home Learning will be sent home each week, please help your children to remember to complete and return their Home Learning Books each Friday. Their Home Learning will be checked, and the new learning pasted in ready for a new week of learning on Monday.
Please note that at the start of the year it can take a few weeks for Maths-Whizz to be up and running for our classes. We greatly appreciate your patience with this.
Memory Verse
2 Peter 3:18
