Message from Cristal McKoy - Head of Primary School
Kia Ora Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,
Welcome back to the start of Term 3. We hope that each of our tamariki had a restful and rejuvenating mid-term break and are ready to dive into the second half of the school year.
There are many exciting things planned for the term ahead and we encourage you to read our weekly HAIL newsletter to stay abreast with upcoming events and notices.
We look forward to our parent-teacher conferences scheduled in Week 2. These meetings are a valuable opportunity for us to discuss your child's progress, celebrate their successes, and address any questions you might have. Your attendance at these meetings is very much appreciated as we recognise that a solid home-school partnership positively influences the educational path of our students.

'KingsWay's Got Talent' Term 3
In Term 3 we will be running our annual Talent Contest. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their talent. In the past we've had singers, musicians, scientists, dancers, magicians and sports tricks. Auditions are about a minute long, run at the Junior Campus with the finalists performing at the Senior Campus. Sign-up forms are available in each Year-level newsletter.
- Auditions: Monday, 31 July, Thursday, 3 August, Friday, 4 August.
- Reserve Day: Tuesday, 8 August (if Auditions aren’t concluded).
- Finals on Senior Campus : Thursday, 24 August, Lunch Time
- We will also have an optional lunch time show in the hall (date TBC).
NED's Mindset Mission
NED's Mindset Mission is a character education program that centers around three important messages that have lifelong relevance: Never give up, encourage others and do your best. During assembly, students will learn about the importance of these three life skills while also enjoying storytelling, humour and yo-yo tricks. Our school received this assembly at no cost because another school paid-it-forward to us. We want to help pay-it-forward too, and our students can help by purchasing a NED-messaged yo-yo. Student order forms will be issued next week and yo-yo's are priced between $16 - $24.

Tuckshop Notice
Please note that the tuckshop is owned and operated by The Good Vibes Company. All tuckshop prices will increase effective from Monday, 24 July 2023.
