Career News

Year 12&13 KingsWay students have free access to the givME site.

givME holds links to all NZ scholarships from Trade to University and beyond.

KWS students have free access to this website. They must first sign up through the KingsWay School network (i.e. sign up while at school). Once signed in,  students can search, view and download scholarship criteria and application forms for a huge range of scholarships via their mobile or PC.

Upcoming Courses

‘You Make the Call’ Rugby Refereeing Certificate - offers 10 L3 credits

Considering Police or Army/Navy as a career? Train as a Referee. This is great people management training and work experience. You are Police On the Field. You need to keep everyone to the rules, keep everyone safe, BUT the game has to go on, and go on strong.

No prior knowledge of Rugby required: 2 theory days with North Harbour Referee trainers on May 14th and 25th + 3 days of supervised referring in Term 2 & 3 for Primary Tournament days at Silverdale Rugby Club.

KingsWay School students have supported this tournament for the last 4 years and come away with helpful employability skills for their CV.

Techtorium

An extensive range of 3-day Senior School courses (holiday and term time) are on offer at Techtorium.

These are introductions to their L4-7 certificate & diplomas in Code and Computer Engineering, including cloud and cybersecurity.

Some courses rank as enrolment criteria for their L4 & 5 full-time certificate/diploma.

The first course is $220, each successive course attended reduces in cost down to $170.

Massey University

Regional Massey Business Bootcamps 14 May - ALBANY

Through seven regional workshops, we’ll share the essence of the Massey Business Boot Camp experience with your students

The two hours, interactive and fast-paced programmes will focus on the 5Cs of Creativity, Collaboration, Community, Critical Thinking and Communication.

Students will interact with local business leaders, Massey staff and each other.

We hope to “ReBoot” their thinking of what a career in business means. As such, please note that the ReBoot workshops are open to ALL Year 12 and 13 students, not just those studying commerce subjects.

KingsWay has reserved 5 places for our local Albany session.

The cost is $20 per student.
