CATE Conference 2018: Cherie Perrow, Head of Pathways and Careers

KingsWay School —

This year Cherie Perrow had the tremendous honour of being on the 2018 CATE Conference Committee.

The conference took place on November, 13th to 15th at the Sky City Auckland Convention Centre. 700 delegates attended which marked the largest careers conference in New Zealand’s history. Under the theme “Inspiration to Innovation,” we presented ground-breaking developments among businesses and educators that are making the most of our radically changing world. Acclaimed International and national researchers and practitioners shared their knowledge, tools and skills to ensure our youth are empowered to make positive career decisions. I had the opportunity to present my Master of Career Development research about being an agent of change within the career education landscape. Two of our students, Caera Lynch and Elizabeth Cameron sang at the closing ceremony. Their talent deeply moved the audience. What a delight for staff and students to represent KingsWay at this national event.
