COVID Restrictions Update

I am sure you have followed the recent government announcement that they have lifted all COVID restrictions effective from Tuesday 15 August. Students are no longer required to isolate. For more information about the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions click HERE. 

If you child is unwell, with COVID or otherwise, they should remain at home until well enough to return.

The school should be notified of all student absences (including arriving late and leaving early) by following the regular school process. Read how to do this HERE.

Please note that a medical certificate is required if your child is absent from school for 5 days or more due to ill health.

The school can also request a medical certificate where there is consistent and/or intermittent illness. If it is appropriate and your child is eligible, you could apply for Northern Regional Health School support.

When driving near the school and surrounding roads, please be aware of the road signs and, in particular, the parking restrictions on Jelas Road. Ignoring these signs could result in parking tickets. Strategic Growth and Development Plan

We have included this message below to make sure all parents have the opportunity to complete the survey before the cut-off on Monday, 21 August. 

Parent partnership is an essential tenet of KingsWay School. The KingsWay community actively engaged in the development of KingsWay’s 10-Year Strategic Growth and Development Plan. We invite you to contribute to our strategic planning process to shape KingsWay’s priorities for the next three years by taking the time to complete THIS SURVEY. It should take 15 minutes and help the Board and school leadership respond to new trends or ideas. 

You are also invited to a coffee evening on 12 September at 7pm in the Senior Campus Staffroom to allow the leadership to gather more open-ended discussion data and to review the draft plan. More information will be shared closer to the date.

Junior Secondary Gallipoli Exhibition

The Year 10 Junior Secondary cohort would like to invite the school community to their annual Gallipoli Museum exhibition on Thursday 31st August from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm. The Social Studies rooms are already a hive of activity, in eager preparation for your perusal. There will be hot drinks and biscuits to accompany your tour. Come along to support our Year 10 students and to interact with our wider school community. 

Part-time Cleaners Needed

We are looking for trainee cleaners who will either work as cleaning relievers for a couple of hours per week.
