Junior Campus Notices - Week 9, Term 4

KingsWay School —

Please read the following parent notices for the Junior Campus.

A Note from Jenny Harvey

Dear Parents

It seems like just the other day that we opened the doors to 2018 and already the year is nearly over! The many blessings we have enjoyed in 2018 stand in testament to the faithfulness of our LORD.

I would like to thank and commend my teaching and support staff, for their dedication and commitment to all they do in creating the caring, nurturing and supportive learning environment we enjoy. They go above and beyond what is required of them and are, indeed, a wonderful team to work with.

We are so looking forward to the modifications in the Kauri Studio being completed and the positive impact it will have on the teaching and learning that will take place there. Please do pop in to have a look when we open the Primary for our usual Open Hour at the start of next year.

Shalome Bell, Rachel Haythornthwaite and Jacqui Lloyd finish up with us this week. They have been a tremendous blessing to our staff and students. We will certainly miss seeing them around the campus but wish them well for their next endeavours.

Our wonderful Librarian, Joan Bain, will also be leaving us at the end of the year. Joan has been an integral part of the school since it began and must have read to hundreds and hundreds of bright-eyed students over the 33 years she has been here! I am not sure that those of us who know her well will ever get used to not seeing her quietly working in the library or sitting with a group of children at her feet, sharing a great book with them! Joan has played such a significant role in developing and shaping our library into what is today and we are so grateful to her for her many, many hours she has invested into the lives of our students. You will be sorely missed, Joan!

Our teaching staff for 2019 are as follows:

NE – Y2 Team: Jess Craddock, Sung Chun, Jaydene Smit, Nicky Heyns, Marian Santos, Marion Baillie and Emily hall

Y3 - 4 Team: Cindi Meyer, Fiona Lysaght, Valerie Severin, Jayne Charles, Karen Pretorius, Cristal McKoy, De Gibson and Kerry McNair

Y5 - 6 Team: Nikki Buys, Hannah Irons, Michelle Dunnion, Angela Hillman, Sian Bonner and Cindy Van ingen-Kal

Y3-6 PE: Jordan Barley

Y0 – 2 PE & Arts: De Gibson

Spanish: Anais Vergara

Thank you to all the parents for your on-going, invaluable support. The parent partnership we enjoy as a school, is one of its greatest strengths.

May our LORD bless you and your families these holidays. May the celebration of our Saviour’s birth and the redemption He has brought be a time of joy for you all.

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"  Luke 2:14
