An Update from Graeme Budler - Auckland is to move to Alert Level 1

KingsWay School —

Dear KingsWay Community,

I want to thank everyone for once again supporting KingsWay during the recent lockdown. It is excellent news that Auckland returns to Alert Level 1 at midnight tonight. KingsWay continues to prepare and revise our COVID procedures to prepare for a sudden and constant return to higher alert levels, and we will keep you posted with further details.

The return to Alert Level 1 at midnight tonight means:

  • Sports’ practices and games continue with immediate effect. We will update the status of postponed events and trips on the KingsWay School website.
  • Evening events are back on, such as next week's Meet the Teacher Full Parent Meeting’ on Tuesday, 2 March.
  • Assemblies and gatherings exceeding 100 can return. We have rescheduled the Mihi Whakatau for Monday, 8 March. We welcome parents of new students to KingsWay to celebrate their adoption into the KingsWay School family.
  • There will be a return to regular operating hours and practices for services such as the Tuckshop.

Please refer to the KingsWay School website for other specific changes to procedures under Alert Level 1. However, it is essentially business as usual while remaining vigilant to the necessary health and safety protocols.

Kind regards,

Graeme Budler
Executive Principal
