Please read the following news and notices for the Senior School (last newsletter for 2019).

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your ongoing partnership with the school in 2019. It is a bitter-sweet time of year when we say goodbye to this year’s graduates trusting that what has been invested into them during their time here will bear fruit as they start the next chapter in their lives. As a community, we will continue to pray for them as they seek His will in the ‘marketplace’.

Prizegiving last week was a fantastic celebration of the many milestones reached by students this year. One of the difficulties with this is that while we rejoice with the students who have achieved certain successes, we also know there are many more who achieved significantly who are not always publicly recognised. It could be that they set themselves a personal goal and achieved it academically, culturally or in service. Equally, it could be that there was significant character growth and personal development for them this year. In the bible it says ‘don’t despise the days of small beginnings’ and this is relevant in this context. While some may have achieved high standards and been publicly recognised, it is encouraging to reflect on the fact that God knows each of us intimately and how far each one has progressed this year.

NCEA Exam Results

Parents should keep in mind that the subject results coming out for Senior School reports only reflect the external results for the Mock exams (the exams run here at school). The final NCEA external/exam results will not be out until January 2020.

Europe

Spare a thought and prayer for our large KingsWay contingent who are now in London (team photo above). They will be acclimatising to the cold winter weather but gearing up for exciting explorations of the city before venturing into France and Italy. We are looking forward to hearing all their stories and adventures on their return just before Christmas.
