In response to the film study of Eddie The Eagle, The English Department decided to host the Junior Secondary World Olympics . Each Form Class represented a different country and the day consisted of each country competing against each other in a variety of activities which included synchronized swimming, bobsleigh racing and tossing the caber. The students thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and participating in the activities. Scotland won Gold followed by Jamaica who won Silver and South Africa was awarded Bronze. The day embraced many of the values of Junior Secondary encompassed in our central theme of Whanaungatanga.
