Keeping safe online is as important now as it has ever been.

Have a read of these suggestions about how to help keep kids safe online (adapted from content by Safe on Social). 

1. Be a good role model – limit your screen time, use devices in shared spaces and be discerning with content.
2. Be involved in your child’s online life as much as their offline life.
3. Use parental controls
4. Be a learner – get your kids to teach you their favourite apps and how to use them!
5. Listen – kids need to know that they can share with you when they come across content they’re not sure about. If they think trouble is just around the corner it will force behaviours underground.
