Message from Cristal McKoy - Head of Primary School
Kia Ora Koutou,
Thank you to everyone who has contributed and supported our learners and the wonderful activities and trips that have taken place this term. There is much to celebrate. I am also aware that many of our precious students are very tired and ready for a break from school. It has been a long time since they have done three full terms without going into a lockdown. For some of our younger students this is the first time they have been at school this long without interuption. As a staff we are praying that each child and family find time to rest over the coming two weeks and that the students would come back refreshed and excited for their final term of 2022.
Tuesday Prayer Meeting - 9am Junior Campus Staffroom
Ephesians 6:18
18 At all times, pray by the power of the Spirit. Pray all kinds of prayers. Be watchful, so that you can pray. Always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
When Kingsway School was just a kernel of an idea, our community prayed. Our school grounds have been soaked in prayer and each step of growth has been taken in faith. Today we have a group of parents who meet every Tuesday who stand in prayer for our children, families, staff and community. Now that we are a large school, we need to keep our unity through prayer. Please keep praying for KingsWay at home, this is God’s place and we want to see him at work in our community. If you would like to be part of the Tuesday Prayer Team please come to the Junior Campus Staffroom at 9:00am on a Tuesday morning.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It is a hands-on way for you to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and fun gifts. Samaritan's Purse collect the boxes and distribute them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in vulnerable situations. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. If you would like to fill a box this year, please collect one from reception and return by Thursday 27th October. Thank you for your generous support!
Absences APP
Please be advised that the School App is a quick and easy way to inform the school that your child will be absent for the whole or part of the day. Alternatively, you can ring reception on 09 200 1831 or email absences@kingsway.school.nz.
The Ministry of Education requires that parents let the school know if their child is going to be away for Health and Safety reasons and to maintain accurate attendance records. Your support in this is valued, thank you.
