Important Notice from Graeme Budler

KingsWay School —

Dear KingsWay Community,

COVID has placed a significant strain on businesses, families, and the wider community. There are also many opinions in our community on a range of COVID-associated issues. These include potentially polarising issues such as when the borders should open and on the safety of the COVID vaccination.

Please note that KingsWay School continues to work in partnership with parents and has not and would never promote programmes or actions without parent consent and information. However, we request that you respect the views of others and refrain from using any of KingsWay’s platforms and forums to inform or promote an ideology or address a sensitive issue. Several schools are experiencing problems in this regard, and it would be sad if our lovely community got involved in this way. If you are unsure, please check directly with the Executive Principal in the first instance and then the Board of Trustees.

Romans 14 provides a timely reminder to Christians regarding dealing with controversial matters that are not eternal. Paul ends his exhortation by encouraging believers with the following words: “Let us, therefore, make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification” (Romans 14:9). Christian communities do experience challenges, but I believe we need to use the correct channels to address these concerns and do so with humility, grace and love.

In response to a recent Ministry Bulletin, the Board recently considered the viability of using KingsWay School as a vaccination site in the future. After carefully weighing up the proposal, the Board passed the following motion:

The Board agreed not to use KingsWay School as a COVID-19 vaccination site unless we receive a Health Order to do so.

Please communicate on this matter directly with me in the first instance.

Kind regards,

Graeme Budler
Executive Principal
